ISLAMABAD : The govt will open tenders for solar parks in April next year for meeting the ever increasing energy requirements in the country. Speaking in the inaugural session of a seminar on "Renewable and Clean Energy in South Asia" here, Advisor to Prime Minister on Energy Dr. Musadiq Malik said that the government is offering an excellent package of incentives to the private sector and foreign investors to come forward for setting up of solar parks. He said the government will fully ensure conducive atmosphere and better investment climate to the investors. He said that the interest of the local and foreign investors will be safeguarded as per commitment.
Dr. Musadiq said that there is a vast scope of investment in energy sector and all investors must take full benefit of this opportunity.
" We are exploiting all possible means to produce cheap energy to boost industrial and agriculture production in the country and accelerate the pace of economic growth", he remarked.
He said that Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif attached highest priority energy sector and directed that all available resources must be fully exploited. Dr. Musadiq said the government is very much alive to the situation and energy projects are being undertaken without any loss of time.
