PESHAWAR: Two hundred and eighty thousand Afghan refugees have been repatriated from Pakistan under the UNHCR repatriation programme this year.
A spokesman of UNHCR told state-run Radio Pakistan said that about five thousand Afghan refugees are being repatriated to Afghanistan daily.
Besides cash assistance from UNHCR, the returning refugees are also being provided free accommodation in Nangarhar and Wardak provinces.
