HYDERABAD - Taking notice of people’s protests against delay in construction of a flyover bridge in Jamshoro district, Deputy Commissioner Jamshoro Fareedudin Mustafa has said the government will ensure timely completion of the project.

According to a press release issued here on Sunday, the DC said he personally asked the Project Director Khalid Masroor to explain if any delay was being caused because a building stood on way of the flyover.

The DC said the PD informed him that a portion of that building near Jamshoro railway crossing would be demolished next month after which the construction works would continue.

The DC assured the people that as per the directions of Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah the project would be completed on priority. Earlier, hundreds of local residents staged a demonstration at the railway crossing and demanded demolition of the building and timely completion of the project.
