Haier launches eco-friendly refrigerant R32
LAHORE (PR): The Haier Group of China have set a searing pace in the central air conditioning world by introducing highly advanced technologies designed to meet and even surpass global emission controls. This emerged as Haier announced the introduction in the Middle East region of its product called Super Match central air conditioning system with R32 refrigerant that drastically cuts greenhouse gases in response to the strictest global emission controls. Thanks to R32 refrigerant the product, shown at the global managers summit held at Qingdao and attended by more than 150 managers from 36 countries and regions cuts greenhouse gases by a whopping 70pc compared to products with R410A refrigerant.
The Haier Super Match central air-conditioning is in full compliance with energy saving standards of developed countries and regions such as Europe, America and Australia. In addition, with the lowest operating noise level of only 26 db, Super Match central air conditioning system perfectly meets users demand for healthy environment, comfort and high quality. According to industry sources, following wide application in Europe, Northern America and Australia; this super energy saving product is set to enter the Middle East market for the first time - supplying 108 sets to high-end building projects thereby providing a premium eco-friendly air-conditioning solution to the region.

Porsche kicks off “Kids Driving School”
LAHORE (PR): Following its success last year, Porsche Pakistan is re-launching its Porsche Kids Driving Safety (PKDS) campaign which will take place in various schools around Lahore. The campaign, focusing on young students between the ages of 5 and 9, aims to educate the “drivers of tomorrow” about road safety and driving rules.
PKDS will give kids informative sessions about traffic signals and road rules, such as the importance of using seatbelts at all times, and safely using pedestrian crossings. Then the kids will be given a chance to get behind the wheel of Porsche 911 pedal cars, while being supervised by the Porsche Team who will ensure that proper driving rules are being applied.
This interactive simulated driving experience incorporates typical road safety features such as zebra crossings, traffic lights, signs and traffic police.
At the end of the session, to create a memorable experience, the kids will be given a special Porsche “First Driving License” and little gifts.
“These activities aim to give the children an understanding of the importance of being safe while driving, as it is a lack of this that frequently results in accidents and fatalities on the road; and we at Porsche take safe driving very seriously. ”Abuzar Bokhari, CEO of Porsche Pakistan, commented regarding the initiative. PLBW successfully concludes on a high note
LAHORE (PR): Pakistan‘s leading entertainment T.V channel Urdu1 steps into the realms of fashion and design by joining hands with Pakistan Fashion Design Council (PFDC) to be the official media partner of L’Oréal Paris Bridal Week (PLBW) 2015. World Contraception Day 2015
KARACHI (PR): Bayer HealthCare Pakistan celebrates ‘World Contraception Day’ by organising a series of health awareness programmes in Pakistan to raise awareness about contraception amongst married couples in Pakistan. The objective of these symposia is to improve awareness amongst general public & health care professionals about various kinds of contraceptive methods and facilitating open discussions. Country’s leading consultant Obstetricians & Gynecologists are invited as key note speakers by Bayer HealthCare Pakistan to provide balanced information and tailored resources for this purpose.

Allied Bank wins best bank award
LAHORE (PR): Allied Bank Limited has been named the ‘Best Bank of the Year 2014 (Large Banks)’as well as ‘Best Corporate Finance House of the Year 2014 – Equity & Advisory’ by CFA Society Pakistan, at the 12th CFA Pakistan Annual Excellence Awards ceremony, held in Karachi, recently.
Owais Shahid, Chief, Corporate & Investment Banking Group (CIBG), received the award for the “Best Bank of the Year,” conferred upon Allied Bank in recognition of its exceptional performance in terms of profitability, efficiency, growth and solvency, during the year 2014.

Samsung, Oculus introduce Gear VR
LAHORE (PR): Samsung Electronics Co, Ltd. announced its first Gear VR device aimed to consumers, extending its leadership in the wearable’s category. The latest edition of the Gear VR is compatible with even more smartphones, including the Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S6 edge+, S6 and S6 edge, leveraging each device’s super AMOLED display to provide the color, clarity and performance needed for an amazing virtual reality experience.

Ambassador launches ceremony
LAHORE (PR): 3P Learning Pakistan’s Regional Manager Iffat Ahmar has announced that the World Education Games 2015 will be a milestone in brainstorming and talent shining of students from hundreds of participating schools from across Pakistan in three day’s online event. World Education Games are considered to be the world’s largest online event.
3P Learning Pakistan arranged a Press Conference at Sukh Chan Wellness Club to formally launch and introduce the student Ambassadors for the World Education Games 2015, from Pakistan who will represent all the participating students in the World Education Games from Pakistan. Change in leadership at Unilever Pakistan
KARACHI (PR): Unilever Pakistan Limited announced the change in leadership effective October 31 2015.
Ehsan Malik, CEO will retire on October 31 2015 after 24 years of exemplary service including 9 years in his current role. Under his leadership, the Pakistan business grew four times in size.
Shazia Syed, currently Chairperson Unilever Sri Lanka will take over the role of CEO Unilever Pakistan Limited. Shazia joined Unilever Pakistan as a Management Trainee in 1989. In her 26 years with the organisation, she has worked across most Unilever categories and was the VP Customer Development Unilever Pakistan. As Chairperson at Unilever Sri Lanka, Shazia Syed set the business on a growth trajectory, and the Unilever Pakistan business will benefit from her varied experience.
