LAHORE – PTI chairman Imran Khan has reached provincial capital to formally lead the by-election drive for the key National Assembly constituency NA-122.

Speaking on his arrival Khan called for deputing Army and Rangers in NA 122 to ensure transparent by-polls on October 11.

He alleged that corrupt people were running the affairs of the Election Commission. “Educated people do not stand a chance to enter the parliament without there being reforms in Election Commission. “Corrupt people are making it to assemblies with the connivance of corrupt election officials,” Khan was of the view.

Khan said PML-N doesn’t believe in fair play and always buys its way into power. “The PTI workers have been trained to watching the polling stations to ensure that there is no rigging,” he said.

PTI Punjab Deputy Organiser Umer Sarfraz Cheema told The Nation, party chairman Imran Khan will formally open the by-election campaign for NA 122 from Provincial Assembly constituency PP 148, which falls under NA-122. He will inaugurate new election offices in PP 148 to accelerate the drive for the electoral battle of NA 122, besides holding meetings with important political groups.
