ISLAMABAD - President of Pakistan Mamnoon Hussain yesterday appointed a retired bureaucrat Naveed Akram Cheema as Chairman of the Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC). President Mamnoon Hussian later administrated the oath from Cheema during a ceremony held at the Presidency.

The members of FPSC, Secretary Establishment Division and senior officers of the President’s Secretariat attended the ceremony. The post of chairman FPSC had fallen vacant after the retirement of Maj Gen (R) Niaz Muhammad Khan Khattak few months ago. –STAFF REPORTER

Naveed Akram had also served as Chief Secretary Punjab and Manager Pakistan Cricket Team and other key posts during his service career.
