Islamabad - Polio has paralysed two more children hailing from Peshawar and Quetta, raising the total number of children affected by the crippling diseases to 34 this year.

The National Institute of Health confirmed two new cases of polio cases each from Peshawar and Quetta. Pakistan has reported so far 34 cases in 2015 with Sindh 4 cases, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 14, Federally Administered Tribal Areas 10 and Balochistan 6 cases.

According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), Nigeria is no longer a polio endemic in the West African country and Pakistan and Afghanistan remain the only two countries where the disease is prevalent.
