NEW DELHI: The Indian rupee slipped by 25 paisa relative to the US dollar on Friday as tensions escalated between India and Pakistan following India’s claim of a surgical strike across the Line of Control on Thursday.

The Indian rupee dropped to 66.61 level against the dollar.

India’s stock market nosedived yesterday amid growing tensions between the two nuclear-armed neighbours.
