PM to take up Kashmir issue with parliamentary parties’ heads

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has convened a meeting of heads of parliamentary parties on Monday to update them on the situation in Kashmir and the Line of Control.

A statement from the PM House said the collective response of the federal cabinet was significant first step in the wake of recent tension along the LoC as well as to reaffirm solidarity with the Kashmiri brethren.

The statement said the second step would be the collective voice of all parliamentary parties in reiterating Pakistan’s moral, political and diplomatic support to the Kashmiri people in their struggle for the right of self-determination.

It would also reaffirm the national resolve to make the national security impregnable, the statement said.
