WB to consider $250m loan

ISLAMABAD (APP) - A session of the World Banks board of Directors would consider the proposal of granting US $250 million loan to Pakistan on September 10 in Washington. Sources in Economic Affairs Division revealed that the session would also consider giving US $150 million for the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), a private TV channel reported. Sources added that the government would have to reissue an ordinance before September 10 to get the loan for BISP.
