Jazba Foundation donates relief goods

LAHORE - Jazba Foundation in collaboration with Royal Palm Golf and Country Club donated essential goods of worth Rs 20 million to the victims of flood affected areas and the relief goods are being distributed through the army network. Former governor Punjab and President Jazba Foundation Lt Gen (r) Khalid Maqbool expressed these views while dispatching 11 trucks of relief goods to flood-hit areas from Royal Palm Club here on Monday. Patron of Jazba Foundation Ramzan Sheikh and eminent industrialist Abid Farooq also spoke on this occasion. Khalid Maqbool said that all sections of society were taking keen interest in rehabilitation of the victims of flood. He said that the Foundation was implementing a plan of providing rations, clothes, medicines and shelter to the ten thousand flood affected families. He said that the foundation had succeeded in providing relief to the five thousand flood affected families. He said that family bags of rations containing flour, rice, ghee, pulses, tea, dry milk, salt, chillies, utensils and other essential items. Maqbool said that a large number of leading personalities from different walks of life were rendering their services for the success of the relief programme. Ramzan Shiekh said that 2,500 members of the club had played a key role in providing relief to the flood affectees. He said that 8,000 litres of clean drinking water and tents for shelter had also been provided to the flood victims.
