The lynching of two brothers in Sialkot proves everyone of us now wants to take law in his hands. This is as crude an example of brutality, cruelty and extremism as you get. What else could be the consequence of unprecedented floods, other than a payback of this kind to cruelty of nature? Our politicians are doing nothing for bringing the perpetrators to justice. Instead, what we see in our political ivory towers is an endless fight of throwing mud at each other. The fact that Prime Minister has chosen to sell his apparel to pay for flood victims in these circumstances is itself an irony of times. This is how the man on top is supposed to respond in times like this? Why arent they selling their palaces and luxury cars? Why arent they cutting down their royal expenses for flood victims? -FAIZA FAROOQ AWAN, Rawalpindi, August 27.
