Agreement inked between BoP and Suzuki Motors

OUR STAFF REPORTER LAHORE - An agreement was signed between Bank of Punjab and Pak Suzuki Motors Company regarding Yellow Cab scheme. President Bank of Punjab Naeem-ud-Din Khan and Managing Director Pak-Suzuki Motors Company Hirofumi Nagao signed the agreement. Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, Chairman Punjab Land Development Company and Member Provincial Assembly Sheikh Allauddin, Chief Secretary, Secretaries Finance and Transport and officers concerned were also present on the occasion. Talking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that an excellent project of Yellow Cab scheme had been evolved enabling the educated youth to stand on their own feet and the scheme had been launched through transparent balloting in Dera Ghazi Khan, Multan and Rawalpindi divisions. He said that 20 thousand vehicles would be distributed among the youth under Yellow Cab scheme. He said that not only best transport facilities would be available to the people through this project but local industry will also be promoted and economic activities increased. He termed the agreement signed between Bank of Punjab and Pak Suzuki Motors Company a good step. and said that this programme will be expanded through mutual cooperation. He directed that the vehicles to be provided under Yellow Cab scheme should be of high quality and no compromise would be made in this regard.
