BAHAWALPUR - Former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa senior minister and Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Deputy Ameer Sirajul Haq said that the nation did not need any political earthquake, tsunami and flood rather what it needed was only 'Islamic revolution'.

Addressing in an Eid Milan organised by the Jamaat-e-Islami district chapter here, he said that being atomic power, American drones were flying in Pakistani skies like birds.

"American President Obama's statement that after Pakistan's division international powers can fight for the atomic material, is an eye-opener for the oblivious rulers who have been toeing the US lines in sheer violation of the national integrity," he pointed out.

The JI deputy ameer argued that on the one hand, Americans were conspiring to divide and enslave the country while on the other, Pakistani rulers were not letting any opportunity to reaffirm their loyalty and friendship to America.

He argued that today Pakistan was passing through a critical juncture as situation in Balouchistan was getting worst with every passing day, adding that the situation had deteriorated to the extent that in some areas nobody could dare sing national anthem and hoist national flag in schools.

Sirajul Haq pointed out that despite having recourses, every citizen was in debt of Rs70,000.

According to the NAB, corruption to the tune of Rs8 billion is being done on a daily basis, especially over the past 4 and half years of the PPP-led government more than Rs8,000 billion had plundered through different tactics," he elaborated.

Speaking on the occasion, Punjab Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Syed Wasim Akhtar said that if the nation posed confidence in the Jamaat and elected it in the upcoming general elections, the party would bring an end to loadshedding in first 90 days.

Every child will get free education and every person will get free healthcare while the JI government will recover billions of dollars from Swiss banks," he claimed. He said that President Zardari would be in Adiala Jail and Punjab's corrupt leaders would be in Kot Lakhpat Jail if the party come to power.

Put right record in 14 days, SHOs warned: Regional Police Officer (RPO) Rao Sardar Ali Khan warned the SHOs of all police stations to put right record of their respective police stations within 14 days otherwise stern action will be taken against them.

He also directed the officers to work with honesty and dedication to address public grievances.

Presiding over an introductory meeting with the DSPs and SHOs of the district, he said that there would be zero tolerance for corruption in the department. "We must respect our juniors and take care of rules and regulations and our policy should be based on 100 percent merit," he pointed out, adding that uniform was should be a sign of security, integrity and public honour. The RPO warned that the police officers must not misbehaved with the masses.

Meanwhile, Rao Sardar directed the DSPs and SHOs seek out crimes in the district and put an end to it. He warned that street crime incidents and organized crime would not be tolerated.
