ISLAMABAD - The JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has stated that PTI’s government in KPK would fall within one and a half months and there would not be any need for a vote of no-confidence.
Talking to media persons outside the Parliament House on Friday, he warned that there is a danger that KPK would not be part of the Federation if the present government remained in power in the province. In reply to a question, he said that the government has a plan for talks with the Taliban and prepared a blue print for this purpose.
He said there is complete understanding between the government and the establishment for dialogue which could begin next month and hoped that these would be productive. To another question, he said that energy crisis has been overcome to some extent but the popularity of the PML-N government has also gone down due to problems faced by the country.
Fazlur Rehman said Nawaz Sharif has the capability and capacity to remain Prime Minister of the country for five years. He was of the opinion that Kalabagh Dam was not a political but technical issue and should be decided on technical basis.
He favoured construction of new small dams for generation of electricity at the provincial level.
He said Karachi is a political issue which could be resolved by all the political parties by mutual consultation and understanding. He expressed concern over the situation in Muslim world terming the situation in Syria as part of an international conspiracy.
