While performing any role, he has the quality of putting his personality into the character whether it’s acting or hosting and always gives his best to the audience. Now soon fahad’s fans will see him on big screen. Ultimately fahad has now switched to silver screen and showed his talent there. His films will be released soon. In an interview with Sunday Plus Fahad talked about his new film venture, his experience and much more. Here are the excerpts of the interview:

What do you most like about your profession; acting?

Whether it’s hosting, production or acting, I am very blessed that I got success  in everything. Acting is my passion and it is my first priority.  After working in dramas, I enjoyed doing acting in films also.  Silver screen is totally a different exposure and I explore a lot of things about myself and film industry.

Why do you think you have succeeded in the industry while others have failed?

I think my hard work contributes a lot in my success. Whenever I do something I do it with my full concentration. I know I am not so good looking so I focused a lot on my acting skills rather than looks and I think my hard work pays you at the end  as looks can only take you up to certain period of time then its only the talent that gives a stability in the industry.

Tell us something about your character you played in Maha-e-Meer?

In Mah-e-Meer I have played a challenging role.  I have played two different characters in this movie. It's a character of contemporary poet who is very aggressive and intense but he is also in love at the same time. It's a romantic film with intellectual elements.  It has poetry in it.

As I said earlier that my character was challenging because doing  romantic scene with poetic essence is very difficult. Now it's up to the audience to decide whether I had done justice with my character or not. It is very rare that an actor plays two roles in a film but I am happy that I did it. Now if this film gets success in box office then it's because of me and if this movie gets flop then  this will  also because of me as there is no other option in it.

Na Maloom Afrad will be your second movie, what this movie is all about?

It is basically a cocktail film in which you will see action, thriller, romance, fun and comedy. This film has a very different story. Comedy is done in a very light way that makes a person smile on the small daily life things. You will see that situation in which everyone is stuck. I am really excited about "Na Maloom Afraad  because it's a movie of very different genre and I really hope people will also find it as exciting as we think it is.

How is your experience working in these two films?

Both films are very different from one another.  Mah-e-Meer required a lot of mental efforts. I have to prepare myself thoroughly before giving my act.  On the other hand in Na Maloon Afraad I just have to follow the script and the instructions of the director. I had so much fun shooting this movie. It was difficult physically though as we Tv artist are not in habit of such intense shooting schedule. We had to shoot for continuously 48 hours and yet keeping your mood and yourself alive was difficult but I loved both the movies and it was a great experience for me.

Any other movies in pipeline?

I am doing a movie Sher-Khan. Soon we will start shooting. It's a remake of Sultan Rahi's movie and it will be transformed according to today's time.

What is your dream role? Have you done it or are you still in a quest for it?

My dream is that my films do a business of 100 cores. I have done all kind of roles.   It’s just how you play a role.

You are an actor, host and a producer, what’s your favorite job?

As I said acting is my passion. It is something I do from the core of my heart and I want to do deep from my heart.  I do hosting when I have to take break from acting.  Production work is for my future. I want to produce a series of good films.

What excites you about big screen/films?

I haven't seen myself on big screen yet so I don't know how it feels to be on  silver screen when I will be a successful actor I will let you know.

Which is your favourite role of the ones you have played on TV?

I have done so many roles but I think that I am the only actor after Faysal Qureshi and Nomy Bhai who have done many characters in the drama industry. I have performed so many characters like Bangali boy, character of gangster, character of politician. With the passage of time I was offered a negative character and character of a young boy and that was a wonderful experience for me.

Who are your major influences in acting?

I am in love with the acting of my father,  Faysal Qureshi, Naseeruddin Shah and recently Irfan khan. If you talk about Hollywood Bengal Washington, I follow all these people you can see the touch of these people in my acting and these are my mentors and my teachers.

You have produced many serials also, during production what are some of the most important things a producer has to keep in mind?

A producer has to keep one thing in mind and that is script and it should be effective. If you have a good script it always influence the people. A producer should have an experience that he should grab and understand what a good script is.

What do you do in your free time?

In my free time I just sleep, and do not receive any calls. I love playing play station, Xbox. I hang out with my family and I always travel with my family in my free time.

What is next for Fahad Mustafa?

Well there are a lot of films coming soon for Fahad Mustafa.
