ISLAMABAD  - Chairman PTI Imran Khan has cautioned to hold a protest sit-in for the removal of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) members, the constitutional body yesterday thanked the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government for its cooperation in the successful completion of the elections of districts and tehsil nazims in the province.

The ECP on Sunday emerged to be the only office congratulating PTI and its provincial government of KP for the successful completion of the third and last phase of the local government elections in the province. “The elections for districts and tehsil nazims and naib nazims were held on Sunday in the entire province in a very peaceful and friendly atmosphere,” said a statement issued by the ECP.

The ECP extends its gratitude to the cooperation extended by the provincial government and its functionaries, police and rest of the law enforcement agencies. ECP also extends its thanks to the political parties, the contesting candidates and their workers for successful and peaceful completion of this very important phase of the elections,” the statement said.
