LAHORE - A 32-year-old woman and her 40-year-old cousin were found shot dead in an under-construction room of a private school in Factory Area, police said on Sunday.

Police investigators say they believe Safdar, a resident of Jhelum district, committed suicide after shooting down his cousin Rehana Bibi. The bodies were moved to the morgue for autopsy.

Father of four, Safdar, visited Lahore on early Sunday to see his cousin Rehana with whom he had an affair. Police said the man wanted to contract second marriage with his cousin but the family rejected his proposal. According to Rehana’s family, the man exchanged harsh words with his paramour over some dispute. Then he killed the woman before shooting himself in the head.

However, Afzal told the police that Imran and Irfan, brothers of the woman, shot dead his son Safdar and his paramour in the name of honour. The police have registered a double murder case and are investigating with no arrest made yet.
