KASUR - The district police have devised a comprehensive plan to ensure foolproof security on Eidul Azha and no banned outfit will be allowed to collect sacrificial animals’ hides, said DPO Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi.

Addressing a meeting held in this regard, he directed the police officers to keep a close eye on the activities of the banned outfits, especially their workers having names in Fourth Schedule. On the occasion, Mr Rizvi also scrutinised the monthly performance of all the SHOs and SDPOs and reviewed the law and order situation in the district. He advised the officials to respect the citizens and enhance their relation with public for the eradication of crime, adding that cops’ rude behaviour towards public would not be tolerated. “Open courts should also be held on daily basis for the provision of speedy justice to the public,” he emphasised.

Later, the DPO also issued show cause notices to four negligent police officers and awarded commendatory certificates and cash prizes to the policemen for their brilliant work. SSP (investigations) Mushtaq Awan, DSP (city) Abdul Qayyum Gondal, Saddr DSP Mirza Arif Rasheed, Chunian DSP Abdul Quddus Baig, Pattoki DSP Ali Akhter Ansari and DSP (headquarters) Hassan Daniyal attended the meeting.
