SARGODHA-The University of Sargodha has declared the result of BA/BSC first annual examinations 2016 here on Tuesday.

According UoS Controller (examinations) Prof Dr Mohammad Iqbal Chaudhry, a total of 28,119 candidates appeared in the examinations, out of which 11,241 were declared pass. He said that the overall passing percentage remained 40.06 percent.

In BA exam, a total of 19,413 candidates were appeared, out of which 6,887 got through with the passing percentage of 35.52 percent. Whereas in the BSc exam, 8,706 candidates took part in the exam and half of them - 4,354 could clear it with the percentage of 50.23 percent.

According to the result, of the total candidates who took part in the exams, 11,786 were male candidates while the rest 16,333 were female candidates.

UoS Vice Chancellor Dr Zahooral Hassan Dogger was the chief guest at the result-announcing ceremony. He delivered prizes to the position holder female and male students. As per details, Isma Kosar Roll No 5871 of Govt College for Women Kalorkot of district Bhakkar achieved 671 marks and grabbed first position collectively. Iqra Mubeen Roll No 9472 of Punjab College got second position with 655 marks and Rabia Aftab of Punjab College Jauherabad Roll No 5123 obtained third position with 654 marks. All of three top positions in BSc were clinched by female students. In BA, Nasir Rafiq of Govt Postgraduate College Bhakkar achieved first position with 641 marks, Kiran Iqbal of Superior College Bhalwal stood second with 634 marks while two students - Iqra Younas of Millat College Jhang and Ume Raqia, a private student got third position with 612 marks each respectively.
