The protest demonstration was also held against the competition of blasphemous sketches. The ASWJ city chief Allama Rab Nawaz Hanfi said that by participating in ‘large number’, the Muslims have expressed their love with the Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him). “Netherland government should refrain the organisers from holding the competition or else it would pave the way for deteriorating the international peace,” he added.

Hanfi also demanded of the UN and OIC to take notice of the issue and refrain the organizers from doing blasphemy. “The blasphemy is unbearable as it is just like hurting the sentiments of the Muslim Ummah,”

The ASWJ leader also reiterated their demand of a public holiday on 18th Zil-Hajj, the day of Hazrat Usman Ghani (RA) martyrdom every year. The day was also observed in other parts of the country including Islamabad, Lahore, Quetta and Peshawar under the banner of the ASWJ.
