Rawalpindi - At least four people received bullet injuries when their rival group launched an armed attack on them here at Liaquat Colony over old enmity on Monday.

Meanwhile, two motorcyclists opened fire on police constables deputed at a picket in Chairing Cross. However, no cop was hurt in the attack.

According to Station House Officer (SHO) police station Saddar Bairooni, Jahangir Bhatti, a clash between two Mumraiz Bhatti group and Ghulam Haider group occurred some days ago, however, a local jirga settled the dispute later. He said that Ghulam Haider group launched an armed attack on Mumraiz Bhatto group at Liaquat Colony. As a result, Mumraiz Bhatti, a property dealer belonging to Kohala, his nephew Changaiz Bhatti, Khuram Shehzad and Pervaiz sustained bullet injuries. Rescue 1122 shifted the injured to Benazir Bhutto Hospital (BBH), the SHO said. An attacker namely Ali Shah was also held by police, he informed.

On the other hand, two unknown motorcyclists opened fire on police constables when the police signalled them to stop at a police picket at Chairing Cross. Police also retaliated but no body was hurt in the cross firing.
