FFC CSR-Al Shifa Eye Trust concludes campaign

KARACHI (PR): Fauji Fertilizer Company Limited, Pakistan largest and most trusted fertilizer brand is engaged in the nation building and relief of underprivileged communities across Pakistan for over 3 decades. FFC Corporate Social Responsibility covers sectors including Education, Health Care, Poverty Alleviation, Environmental Protection, Disaster Relief & Rehab and promotion of regional and national sports across Pakistan.

In 2013 FFC CSR in collaboration with Al Shifa Eye Trust (Rwp)  initiated a program for the treatment, cure and awareness on eye related medical subjects in the proximity of Rawalpindi District. FFC and Al Shifa today successfully concluded their 5th Eye Camp which was held at Shaheen Public School Lalarukh Colony, Chakri. The campaign included some of the most remote as well as densely populated communities and towns of District Rawalpindi including Kotli Sattian, Kahuta and Chak Beli Khan, Khayyaban e Sir Syed and last at Chakri.

These areas were selected specifically considering the over stretched health facilities along with slums which are deprived of basic health facilities.


Rootsians rules the verdict in moot court!

ISLAMABAD (PR):  RootsiansTriumphed the Law Moot Court Competition organised by USEFP

RIS declared at the best team at Law Moot Court Competition held at the United States Educational Foundation Pakistan. The team of young aspiring lawyers included MahaJaved, Shayan Ahmed Khan, Hamza Nasir and IqraIshaq.

Walid Mushtaq is a pioneer in providing the best Law education to the students of Pakistan and stresses on the importance of fostering an interest in international law governing freedom of expression issues.

The students were accompanied by their law faculty teachers Mohammad Ali Kaif, Azeen Hafeez, Arooj Naveed, KiranKaif and Ms. Asma Arbabwho guided them throughout and provided them with the research material.


Hifz-e-Quran ceremony

LAHORE (PR): An event to celebrate Hifz-e-Quran ceremony of two grandsons and one grand daughter of Alhaaj Mohammad Hussain Gohar; Fakhur Sadiqain beloved son of Urdu Bazar eminent trader Abuzar Ghaffari; Zainab Altaf daughter of Altaf Hussain Gohar and Badruz Zaman Gohar son of Kashif Hussain Gohar was held here yesterday at Zaman Park.

Hydel power generation stressed

LAHORE (PR): Federal and KPK governments should collaborate to raise hydel and coal-fired electricity generation and take measures to prevent pilferage in order to provide cheaper electricity and overcoming loadshedding in the country. The Prime Minister and Provincial Governments should seriously tackle important issues like prevention of the pilferage of energy and recovery of dues from the influential elites. These views were expressed by Khurshid Ahmad, General Secretary, Pakistan Workers Confederation and Syed Tanzeem Hussain Naqvi, Former Member (Power) WAPDA in a press statement issued here on Monday.

They expressed serious concern over the recent row between federal and provincial government of KPK over control of Water & Power resources. They reminded them that WAPDA is a national institution and its breakup would give rise serious inter-provincial dispute over the development water & power resources in the country.
