PESHAWAR - A Special Court of Anti-terrorism on Monday granted bail to Quami Watan Party (QWP) Member Provincial Assembly Sultan Muhammad Khan and his three guards.

The QWP MPA Sultan Muhammad Khan and his three guards Hamed Jan, Aminullah and Rahat Shah, residents of Charsadda were arrested for forcibly interring to a police station in the district and tried to release his other companions arrested in aerial firing case Saturday last. It was also alleged that the MPA and his guards also scuffled with the police personnel inside the police station.

Police arrested all the four persons, including MPA Sultan Khan and lodged an FIR under sections 506, 353, 186, 225-B and 7-Anti Terrorism Act (7-ATA) against the accused and detained him in the lockup. On Monday all the four accused were produced before the Special Court of Anti Terrorism Peshawar.

The court granted bail on one surety and Rs50,000/ bonds, whereas the other three persons were bailed for two sureties and Rs50,000 for each and ordered their release.
