PESHAWAR - To avoid any traffic jam and public inconvenience, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak directed the Peshawar Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) to provide President Mamnoon Hussain with all possible security without blocking any road.

According to Spokesperson CM House, the chief minister directed the Capital City Police not to block any road for VIP movement and ensure security to the President without any inconvenience to masses. Despite issuing of circular, last night police had closed the Qayum Stadium Road and remained closed till late Wednesday in the wake of President’s visit to attend the sports festival.

Last week, a 10-month-old girl died when her family could not reach a civil hospital in Karachi due to security measures made for the arrival of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and other leaders.

After that incident, Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan announced that he will make sure traffic is not halted for any VIP in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He said if any person is worried about his life then he should stay at home instead of putting lives of other people at stake.
