KP NAB makes two arrests

PESHAWAR  - The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Wednesday arrested accused Muhammad Aimal Khan son of Muzafar-ul-Mulk, ex-MNA NA-29 Mingora and Nisar Aziz, Sub-Engineer of Pak PWD Batkhela Swat who were involved in substandard and ghost developmental projects in NA-29 Mingora Swat and caused colossal loss to public exchequer worth Rs57.00 million.
The Pak PWD Batkhela Division awarded various developmental schemes to Muhammad Aimal Khan owner of M/s National Builders. All these schemes were shown executed as per record, wherein grave illegalities, including ghost and substandard schemes, were identified during the course of investigation.
Accused Nisar Aziz, Sub-Engineer Pak PWD Batkhela recorded fictitious
measurements, ghost and unexecuted or partially executed schemes and signed bogus entries in measurement books on the basis of which payments have been made to the Contractor, said NAB KP spokesman.
Further, investigation is being actively pursued by NAB Khyber
Pakhtunkhwa and more alarming facts are on card. The accused persons will be produced before Accountability Court Peshawar for obtaining their physical remand.
