rawalpindi - Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) thrashed Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in local government elections held in two union councils and two wards of the city yesterday.

According to unofficial results, the PML-N won the slots of chairman and vice chairman in UC # 16 and UC-98 by obtaining 2051 and 4438 votes respectively.

The PTI could get 1710 votes and 3435 votes in aforementioned UCs.

Likewise, the PML-N defeated PTI in ward # 5 of UC-14 and ward # 6 of UC-45.
