ISLAMABAD - Former national ladies tennis champion Sarah Mehboob Khan stamped out her authority in style, as she remained undefeated in the trial matches conducted by Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) for the selection of four-member female squad for the South Asian Games here at PSB synthetic courts on Wednesday.

Sarah had managed to win all the three matches, she had played so far. The most important of them was the match against Ushna Suhail, as Sarah outclassed her in straight sets to once against strengthen her claim that she is the best in the country.

Sarah won the first set 6-4 and she was even more convincing in the second set which she won 6-3. In the earlier matches, Sarah outclassed Mehaq Khokhar 6-2, 6-1 and taught tennis lesson to so-called super coach daughter Alina Aftab, to whom her father Aftab Qureshi termed No 1 player of the country. Both sisters had just returned from Spain after second stint, but so far both Alina and Mahin failed to impress and not looked like having spent time in Spain. Sarah outclassed Alina 6-4, 6-1. Now she looks certain to book her place in the SAF Games-bound squad.
