GUJRANWALA-Regional Director Anti-Corruption establishment Fareed Ahmed has wrote a letter to Deputy Commissioner Gujranwala, seeking removal three municipal corporation officials including two building inspectors from their posts.
In the letter, the regional director wrote that there were corruption allegations against building inspector Yousaf Mughal, Usman Shafiq and survey in-charge Husnain Haider. After a thorough investigation, these allegations were well founded besides the three officials failed to satisfy the enquiry committee members. He recommended in his letter that as the officials had been involved in corruption of millions of rupee, they can use their powers in their favour. Therefore, these officials should be removed from their posts as soon as possible.
CIA BUSTS GANG
CIA police arrested six members of a dacoit gang and recovered cash and illegal arm from their possession.
According to CIA police, last month the accused entered the house of a citizen in Mohallah Islamabad and snatched Rs1.7 million and gold ornaments. Later the CPO referred the case to CIA Police, which under the leadership of DSP Imran Abbas Chadhar, succeeded in tracing the accused after a thorough investigation and utilising modern techniques.
The accused were identified as Fayyaz, Ali, Salman, Umer, Qasim and Rizwan.
The police also recovered Rs0.8 million cash and illegal arms from them.
