Independence of catalan

 Catalan declaration of independence has created the greatest constitutional crisis in Spain since the fall of Franco regime in 1975. There are fears that the crisis could escalate into ethnic conflict on the lines of Balkan crisis of 1990s. Change in the political map of the world is the most difficult transition in international system. But mounting diversification of national and ethnic identities is reshaping our world. As Scots in United Kingdom and Kurds in Iraq have been vying for independence, Catalans also added into the mix by challenging the Spanish rule.
