2 wanted in 500 cases arrested

KARACHI - The police on Friday arrested two culprits involved in over 500 cases of several crimes in the metropolitan. Special Investigation Team of the Zone East chief Mohammad Ali Rind told the media representatives that they conducted a raid on a tip-off. When the police reached their hideout located at National Highway, Quaidabad, the culprits started firing and some of them had managed to escape under the cover of firing. Following the encounter, the police arrested two culprits including Faizan alias Kashif and Haroon Rasheed alias Bengali. The police also claimed to have recovered two pistols and a snatched motorbike from their possession. Rind said that during the initial interrogation, the culprits revealed about their involvement in over 500 cases of crime including murder, attempt to murder, kidnapping and robbery. Some of their gang members are in jail although some are at large. They had also killed two female housemaids namely Rani and Shanti over their resistance in a robbery incident in Defence area. The cases have been registered.
