Ubiquitous in hospitals

A week earlier I had to pay a visit to Sheikh Zayed Hospital, Lahore in order to inquire about the condition of a relative admitted in their Emergency ward. I was amazed to find beggars roaming freely about the premises hustling the worried visitors of patients admitted there. This is due to ignorance of the hospital administration that seemingly allows them to wander inside their establishment. The provincial authorities should also take notice and ensure that beggars are not allowed inside public buildings. -ASGHAR KHAN MAHSUD, South Waziristan Agency, via e-mail, January 28.
