DASKA - A young girl and her neighbour were found dead in an under-construction open house near their houses in village Kalla Kalan here. According to local people, it is an end to their love story.

Shazia, a student of first year at Govt Postgraduate College for Women Daska, and her neighbour Adeel, a student of engineering, were alleged in love and wanted to get married against their parents’ will. Some people saw their dead bodies there and informed their families and the police. The Daska police shifted the dead bodies to Daska DHQ Civil Hospital for post-mortem. Doctors said that there was no sign of torture on these dead bodies. However, a high intensity poison caused their death. The police said that it was not clear whether they were administered poison or they committed suicide.

DSP Daska Rana Muhammad Sarwar said the police were keeping all the options open regarding the incident and was collecting evidences, adding that the early solution to the mystery was a challenge for the Daska police.

The atmosphere was mourning in the village after the deaths. Police handed over the dead bodies to the grieved families for burial after autopsy. Later, they were buried in local graveyard in the presence of hundreds of mourners.
