LAHORE - Lahore High Court Chief Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed has said that the concept of Alternate Dispute Resolution was not alien to us and the people have benefited a lot from this mode of reconciliation and mediation. He was addressing an inauguration ceremony of a 7-day Judges Mediators Skills Training Program at a local hotel here on Monday.

Some 30 judges from the district judiciary are attending this program which includes 6 sessions judges, 19 Family Court Judges and five civil Judges. Justice Umar Ata Bandial and Justice Mansoor Ali Shah were also present on the occasion.

Chief Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed said that with the passage of time this practice of settling disputes has dwindled. Therefore at present the results of this system are far from satisfactory.
