ISLAMABAD - Besides discussing matters related national importance, the 39th National Assembly session summoned on February 1 (Wednesday) is most likely to deliberate in length on 20th amendment bill regarding Election Commission of Pakistn (ECP), which has also been approved by NA standing committee on law and justice.President Asif Ali Zardari has summoned the session of the National Assembly (NA) on February 1 in exercise of powers conferred by clause (1) of Article 54 of the Constitution. The 20th amendment bill is likely to be presented in the house from treasury benches, sources said, which could be passed in this session. The matter regarding spurious drugs matter which claimed over 100 lives, power outages and gas loadshedding, matter related to law order situation and other are also be raised during the session.Parliamentary sources said that Pakistan Muslim League (N) is most likely to come down hard on Prime Minister for allegedly reversing his statement regarding DG ISI and army chief. As, Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Ch Nisar has already criticised PM Gilani for reversing his statements, saying that PM’s statements had made mockery for of his office and insulted the country all over the world. The sources said that the opposition parties will also raise the issue of suspension of Nato supply as some religio-political party and has time and again warned to stage sit-in before the Parliament on this issue.
