SIALKOT - Hundreds of household women and female activists of PTI staged a protest sit-in in front of the Jinnah House on the Paris Road here against gas loadshedding in residences.

The protesting women were holding banners and placards and chanting anti-government slogans. On the occasion, speakers said that the people residing in the residential, industrial and commercial areas of Sialkot, Daska, Sambrial, Uggoki, Kotli Loharaan and Pasrur were facing great ordeal due to very low pressure of gas. The protesting people have expressed grave concern over the critical situation.

The consumers said that the daily 20-hour loadshedding had made their lives very hard. They added that the situation had badly hampered the industrial activities in Sialkot. They observed that the loadshedding and low pressure were irking the domestic consumers in the district. The consumers said that the gas pressure often goes low in the morning and evening daily due to which they were unable to timely prepare breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Thus students of schools and colleges have to go their educational institutions without having breakfast. “Every one was living a very perturbed life now-a-days,”they said. Some women said that they were sleepless during nights as they were trying to cook the meals during the nights, as these meals were to be used in mornings and evenings the next day.
