Islamabad - The Inter Provincial Education Ministers’ Conference (IPEMC) headed by Minister of State for Federal education and Professional Training Muhammd Baligur Rehman held here on Friday.

The conference was attended by education ministers and secretaries from all provinces and FATA, AJK and Gilgit Blatistan.

The Inter Provincial Education Ministers’ Conference reviewed achievements in the education sector all over the country and discussed future plan of action and strategy for the promotion of the education as well.

The participants of the conference expressed satisfaction over the implementation of decisions taken in the last meeting which include establishment of national curriculum council and review committee for national educational policy through which the provinces and areas would present proposals regarding reforms within the educational policy.

They would also ensure minimum educational standards and design a common syllabus with consensus.

It was also decided in the conference that all-out efforts would be made to ensure maximum enrollment of children in schools, improve quality of education standards and appointment of the best teachers on merit.

At the end of the conference, all the participants thanked State Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training Muhammd Baligur Rehman for holding Inter Provincial Education Ministers’ Conference and lauded his efforts for the promotion of education in the country.

They also stressed to continue to hold such meetings regularly in future.
