LAHORE - PPP’s Punjab spokesman has said that Sajid Gujar and Iqbal Ghurki are persistently working against their offices of President and Secretary General of People’s Unity of PIA Employees Union Lahore respectively.
The spokesman refuted the information regarding change of their offices and said that there was no substance in such information. “Since powers rests with President PPP central Punjab to appoint president and Secretary of People’s Unity of PIA Employees, those posing to be president and secretary of Union have no legal status in fact,” he stated.
He said that Sajid Gujjar and Iqbal Ghurki called on Mian Manzoor Ahmad Wattoo this week and informed him about the problems of People’s Unity employees. Talking to the both leaders, Wattoo said that PPP would never compromise on the rights of employees. He also said that the party would always oppose the privatisation policy of present government regarding PIA.
