Pakistan skiers excel in Korea

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan teenage skiers once again showed their skills and talent in Korea and earned silver and bronze medals. Talking to The Nation, Ski Federation of Pakistan (SFP) spokesman Obaid Ur Rehman said: “Pakistan players had travelled to Korea on World Dream Programme initiative by Korean government, in which more than 50 countries’ skiers took part. The basic aim of the programme is to educate and give training to young boys in the skiing. “Pakistani skiers M Jamil and M Irshad of Naltar valley, Gilgit-Baltistan left for Korea on 19-day dream programme along with team coach Qammar Ali. Pakistani boys became very popular in the competition and every one appreciated their skills. Although they couldn’t win gold this time which went to India, they were named best skiers.”
