LAHORE - Chief Minister Punjab, Mian Shahbaz Sharif has said that Punjab province is the real brother of all provinces and we share their sorrows and happiness without which the dream of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Allama Muhammad Iqbal would not come true. He was addressing 'Integrity Caravan' comprising of three delegations from Peshawar, Quetta and Karachi on the invitation of Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust (NPT) in collaboration with the Pakistan Movement Workers Trust which called on him at Chief Minister's House here on Wednesday. The student delegations chosen in quiz and debate programmes conducted by NPT in Quetta, Peshawar and Karachi and are visiting Lahore on 7-day study tour. The chief minister while praising Editor-in-Chief The Nation and Chairman NPT Majid Nizami said that he is a great exponent of two-nation theory in Pakistan. He said the Quaid-i-Azam had termed good character as the chief quality of a human being and there should be no compromise on character building, as it builds the society. Shahbaz vowed that Pakistan was component of four provinces and country cannot survive without any of them. He expressed sorrow over the debacle of East Pakistan and said wrong polices and decisions led to disintegration of Pakistan. He said: he felt embarrassment while facing new generation, as he cannot count significant achievements to others proudly. However, there are some collective achievements that could be considered as noteworthy like detonating atomic explosion. Had Pakistan not been an atomic power, enemies would have been in position to harm Pakistan, the chief minister added. He said he was having a chat with the delegation as a Khadim-e-Punjab and not as chief minister of Punjab. He said he feels pleasures over meeting with "Integrity Caravan" consisting on talented students from across the country. He declared them as future asset of Pakistan. Vice-Chairman NPT Prof Dr Rafique Ahmad and Secretary NPT Shahid Rashid also spoke on the occasion.
