Assistant Commissioner Iftikhar has said that the media is a big source for highlighting the problems faced by the people and hopes that this will remain continue in future.

He expressed these views while talking to journalists here the other day.

He said that administration was trying to provide relief to people during the holy month of Ramazan.

He also directed authorities concerned to black list the shopkeepers involved in selling commodities at higher rates than prices fixed by the government.

He said that government had given relief package of Rs4 billion to the common man by lower prices of eatables in Ramazan Bazaars than open market.

He said that all the shopkeepers and vendors were bound to display price lists and strict action would be taken against persons selling low quality products and those involved in overcharging.

The AC said that that the sale of subsidised flour would monitor strictly.
