Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has taken a notice of the gang rape of two sisters by van crew in Sambrial.

The CM sought a detailed inquiry report from Sialkot district administration, directing Inspector General of Police Punjab Khan Baig and DPO Sialkot Muhammad Gohar Nafees to ensure early arrest of the accused and provide security of life for the victims and their family.

Meanwhile, Sambrial police have claimed to arrest three accused nominated in the FIR including Bilal Cheema (van conductor), Irshad and Ehsan Cheema. DSP Sambrial Ashiq Virk told the newsmen that the police were raiding various places to ensure the early arrest of the main accused rapist Yasir Cheema, the van driver.

On the other hand, the female doctors of Sambrial THQ Hospital conducted physical examination of the gang raped sisters. The doctors confirmed forced gang rape of the girls.

Sambrial city based Neelam Jamil and Kiran Jamil were forcibly gang raped by seven armed men including driver and conductor of a public transport vehicle (LOK-7867), near village Jethikey, Sambrial tehsil.
