PTDC yet to decide about Flashman's fate

ISLAMABAD - The management of Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation of Pakistan (PTDC) is yet to decide about the fate of Flashman's hotel situated in Rawalpindi, as the sources said that the hotel management did not receive any notification of handing the hotel over to the Punjab government.
Earlier, there were reports that PTDC was mulling to hand the hotel over to the Punjab government.
Officials, privy to the development told TheNation on condition of anonymity that a delegation of PTDC had visited the hotel on Monday last and held a meeting with the General Manager of Flashman hotel to discuss the fate of the hotel and future of the employees.
The GM later confirmed to this scribe about the meeting, however, he declined to reveal any details. He also said that the hotel administration did not receive any notification of transfer of the hotel from the federal to provincial government.
"Yes, the officials of PTDC visited the hotel and we discussed things related to the hotel and the staff. Beyond that I have nothing to share with you at the moment," said Iftikhar Satti, manager of the hotel.
It is pertinent to mention here PTDC is mulling to hand its assets to provinces following the devolution of Ministry of Tourism and Development.
