NOORPUR THAL -Talks between the government and opposition on the ToRs to investigate Panama leaks have almost been dead as some elements in the opposition do not want their counterparts to be held accountable, Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Secretary General Liaqat Baloch claimed.

Addressing a public gathering here the other day, the JI stalwart said that some decisions recently taken by Pakistan People's Party and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf have harmed the opposition's stance on Panama leaks and benefited the government. He, however, said that the JI wants an unbiased inquiry into Panama leaks and other corruption scandals in order to bring the culprits to the book.

In his speech, JI District Ameer Advocate Malik Muhammad Waris Jasra said that Pakistan is the only country in the world which came into being in the name of Islam. He regretted that the dream could not be materialised yet due to the connivance between the rulers and policymakers. He stressed that the enforcement of Shariah in the country is the only way to resolve country's problems.
