FAISALABAD - The meeting of District Coordination Committee was held here at DCO Office where DCO Salman Ghani and SSP Faffukh Raza gave the briefing about the pace of development and law & order situation.

MNA Rana Afzal Khan, parliamentarians Mian Abdul Mannan, Mian Farooq, Shahbaz Babar, Rajab Ali Bloch, Nisar Jatt, Talal Badar Ch, Rai Usmal Kharal, Afzal Sahi, Fatima Fareeha, Rai Haider Kharal, Mian Tahir Jamil, Azad Ali Tabassum, Rao Kashif Rahim, Jaffar Ali Hocha, Haji Khalid Saeed, Surria Nasim, Arif Mehmood Gill, Naeemullah Gill, Vice Chairman WASA Mian Irfan Mannan participated in the meeting while officers of different departments were also present. The DCO welcomed the parliamentarians in the meeting and said that public welfare projects and policies of govt would be implemented with organised and solid strategy with the consultation of public representatives. He said the development pace of Jhall Chowk underpass, Canal Express Way, Children Hospital, General Hospital Haseeb Shaheed Colony, Faisalabad link road programme, Provincial and district annual development programmes, rural roads programmes and other development projects in the district. He said full attention is being given for the development of urban and rural areas equally. He said that improvement of the health facilities and rehabilitation of health institutions in the district was on top priority of city district govt and budget of purchasing the medicines was Rs419.500m which is 14% increased from the last financial year.

Budget of electricity charges of THQ Hospitals and RHCs had also been increased for providing dual electricity connection in these health institutions for uninterrupted power supply.

He said 100 % budget had been increased for the purchase of Air Conditioners in THQs. The parliamentarians are also informed about anti-dengue, anti-polio and anti-adulteration campaigns. The DCO said 1,107 pure foods licences were issued by the health department and collected revenue of Rs10.48 million. The SSP informed about the FIR information system, criminal record office and data of police official system. The parliamentarians assured their full cooperation for the best service delivery of govt offices. They expressed their satisfaction over the development projects pace work. They said the aims of district administration and parliamentarians are equal for providing relief to the public.
