MIRANSHAH - At least seven personnel of the security forces were killed and three others injured when a suicide bomber struck explosives packed vehicle of a convoy in Bakakhel region on Monday. As per details, a convoy of the security forces was on its way from Bannu to Miranshah, the headquarters of North Waziristan Agency. The convoy when entered the Frontier Region at Bakakhel was attacked by a suicide bomber who struck an explosives packed vehicle of the convoy. One official vehicle was destroyed and personnel on the board were killed and injured. The injured were admitted in the Combined Military Hospital at Bannu. So far no one has claimed the responsibility for the attack. The body of the suicide bomber was blown into pieces and was beyond any recognition. However, the ISPR officials confirmed casualties of three security personnel in the attack. Our Staff Reporter from Swat adds: Unidentified militants Monday snatched five ration-laden trucks here at Mingora and shifted them to an unknown location. Sources said that armed militants intercepted five trucks carrying ration and other edible items for students of girl schools. Meanwhile, hundreds of students staged a protest demonstration and blocked the Saidu Sharif-Mingora Road for all kind of traffic. The protestors were demanding the remittance of their fee, as the government has announced full fee concession for the students of militancy-hit areas. The infuriated students chanted slogans against the authorities concerned.
