PESHAWAR (Online) - To register their protest against scanning of Pakistani nationals at the US airports, at least 18 members of the National Assembly and provincial assemblies have rejected an official invitation to visit the United States. The invitation was extended by the US embassy in Pakistan to these parliamentarians belonging to Awami National Party (ANP), Pakistan Muslim League-Q (PML-Q) and Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N). The MNAs and MPAs have made it clear that they would not visit America till their exemption from scanning at the airports, sources informed the news agency. Six of these parliamentarians belong to the ANP while remaining 12 are from the two factions of PML. Officials of US embassy in Pakistan are trying their level best to convince them to visit the United States.
