NAB has presented its report of sending letter to the Swiss government regarding reopening cases against President Zardari. The court has also asked to submit details of cases against President Zardari in Spain, a private TV reported. NAB Chairman Naveed Ahsan and Deputy Chairman Shah Khawer submitted the report. NAB officials told that they have sent letter to the Swiss government to reopen cases against President Zardari while action against former Attorney General Malik Qayyum would also be taken and NAB has written to the Law Ministry in this regard. NAB officials told that 21 inquiries, which were halted under NRO, has been resumed and 10 convicts sentence has been restored. Justice Khalilur Rehman asked the NAB officials that why those convicts are not yet sent to jail whose sentence has been restored. He said: what is the status of cases against President Zardari in Spain. Deputy Attorney General replied that no action was taken from here against those cases. CJP Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry while praising the NAB chairman said that he had done good work as court orders should be implemented in letter and spirit. While adjourning the case hearing till tomorrow, NAB chairman was asked to not appear in the court tomorrow, and he would be called when it necessary.
