LAHORE The Pakistan team is likely to play a Test and ODI series against South Africa at the neutral venue of UAE, where it has already played three series against New Zealand, Australia and England. The Pakistan Cricket Board is proposing a Test and one-day series against South Africa in the United Arab Emirates this year. PCBs chief operating officer Wasim Bari said on Tuesday that it has asked South Africa to play three Tests and five one-day internationals. Bari says theyve proposed to start the series from Oct. 28 at Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Pakistan has been virtually a no-go zone for foreign teams since militants attacked the Sri Lanka cricket team bus at Lahore last year, killing six police officials and a driver.
