LAHORE - The Director General PEPCO Management Conservation Engineer Muhammad Khalid on Tuesday said the power shortfall had been reached to 5210MW. According to a press release, he said that power generation was 9622-MW against the demand of 14832-MW. The DG said that the system was getting 2418-MW from Hydel plants, 2255-MW from thermal and 4949-MW from IPPs. He said inflow in Mangla Dam was recorded as 31943-cusec and outflow 28000 cusec while inflow and outflow in Terbela Dam was same 29600 cusec.
